Take 4.

Since I was told I have an elevated anti-mullarian level and an elevated FSH level, it indicates that I have a lower than normal egg reserve. That's why we haven't gotten more and healthier eggs out of me.

This time we are trying an estrogen patch a week before my expected period for 4 days and 3 days of ganirelix shots together. This is in hopes to reduce my FSH level and trick my body into giving up more and better quality eggs.

Second morning after removing the estrogen patch I got my period, exactly when I normally do.

After blood and sono on the second day of my period, I was advised to inject into my belly 4 vials of menapure and 300 units of follistim (maximum dose of each) every night between the hours of 6-10pm.

2 days later sono reveals no follicles maturing, and with the blood test I was advised to repeat the same for another 2 days (we take everything 2 days at a time with a blood test and sonogram between).

Update... =\

My last post indicated that I was pregnant. Everything was going so well. All my levels were good, every sonogram show the fetus growing at a good pace. My infertility specialist and I said our congratulations and goodbyes and I was released into the world with a less than 2% chance of miscarriage. I was considered now to be no different than any pregnant woman that conceived naturally at almost 8 weeks.

At almost 9 weeks I had my first appt with my regular ob/gyn. My mom came with me and filmed the sonogram using my cell phone but of course that was interrupted by a phone call that made the re wording stop. Of course I fwded it to voicemail.

My mom was gushing over the sono while the dr was sitting perfectly still concentrating immensely at the screen. She asked me to sit up and let me know she had some bad news.. there's no heartbeat. She was in shock herself and really didn't know what else to say except I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..

From there I went to get a stronger sonogram taken which confirmed the same and the next day back to my infertility specialist who confirmed again. I was scheduled a few days later for a d/c and 3 weeks later I learned that the embryo had something called 45x. A normal female is born with 46x chromosomes and this one had only 45.

I am sorry it didn't turn out to be a healthy pregnancy but I'm so glad it stopped when it did.

Moving forward to bigger and better!!
